I had a wonderful time capturing Garrett + Julianne’s sunrise Dallas Arboretum engagement session on Saturday!! It was such a beautiful morning for their session. I had the honor of photographing their proposal at the Arboretum in December of 2022, and I was so excited that they wanted to move forward with having me as their wedding photographer! They are the sweetest couple and I loved every minute of capturing this amazing milestone for them. It was really important for Garrett and Julianne to go back to the Arboretum for their engagement session as that’s the place where it solidified their future marriage! I cannot tell you how excited I am to be sharing a little peek into our time together. I am in love with these sneak peeks!

How Garrett Proposed

Garrett and Julianne met on the dating app, Hinge, just over two years ago. This was definitely a point of connection for all of us as my husband and I met on Tinder 😂 Their first date was during Valentine’s Day weekend in 2021 where they enjoyed some true Texas cuisine at The Ranch in Las Colinas.

Garrett proposed in the sweetest way. I was there so I can definitely attest to this (lol!). Garrett planned a surprise Christmas date for Julianne in December and wouldn’t tell her anything about where they were going. He surprised Julianne with tickets to the Christmas display at the Arboretum. As they were making their way through the garden, he then led her to a part of the garden that was tucked away and a little bit more private. Garrett had decorated the entire area with rose petals, flowers, decor, and all of his favorite photos of the two of them. Julianne was SO surprised!! Of course, she said YES!! Also, all of their close family and friends were hiding out watching the whole thing and surprised her after the proposal. Having their family there was the cherry on top for them!

Garrett and Julianne with be tying the knot at The French Farmhouse in December of 2023! This is one of my favorite venues in DFW, and I cannot wait to celebrate these two at this gorgeous venue. Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Gideon 🥂
