I had SO much fun at Alex and Marisol’s engagement session in downtown Midland this past weekend! I just have to take a moment to thank my sweet husband for referring me to these two. Alex actually works with my husband, so that’s how they found me – such a small world! This was my first time meeting Marisol in person (I’ve met Alex before), and I absolutely loved working with these two. We had such an amazing afternoon together, and the lighting was FANTASTIC!

We started off their session in downtown Midland at Centennial Park. Unfortunately, we were not aware that the park was closed due to a huge event happening on that Saturday, so our time at the park was limited. But, we got some amazing shots while we were there! We then went across the street to the Doubletree hotel where we had a little “rooftop” session overlooking the buildings downtown. It was crazy beautiful and the golden-hour lighting was coming in hot.

Following our session, Alex and Marisol treated me to dinner where we enjoyed true Mexican-style cuisine. Oh my goodness, it was so good!!! I also had the opportunity to get to know Alex and Marisol even more so as a couple – I truly love building amazing, long lasting relationships with my couples!

Alex and Marisol will be tying the knot at the Bush Convention Center in downtown Midland this September. I am so excited to celebrate with these two in just a few short months. Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Mendez!!
