I am so excited to be sharing Danny + Krista’s Flippen Park engagement session today!! It’s been a while since I’ve photographed at Flippen Park, and I’m so glad they decided to use this location as our first stop! THANKFULLY we didn’t get rained out during their session. Although I love the spring season, sometimes the weather can be extremely unpredictable. It was still pretty overcast for most of their session, but we made the best of it! Following Flippen Park, we made our way to downtown Dallas where we finished their session off strong. Danny and Krista even popped some champagne at the end of their session to celebrate their engagement. I am ALWAYS here for a good champagne pop moment! I loved spending my afternoon with these two and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this fall. Be sure to check out a few of my favorites from their sneak peek gallery below!
Danny and Krista actually met on the dating app, Hinge, in 2018! Their first date was at Meddlesome Moth in the Design District in Dallas. Meddlesome Moth is known for having adventurous small plates. It made for a great first date as they were able to try new things and have a surprisingly comfortable first in-person conversation. They will soon be celebrating 5 wonderful years together!
Sometimes proposals don’t always go as planned, but it can work out for the better! Danny and Krista originally had vacation plans to spend their New Years in Tokyo. How cool, right?! Unfortunately, COVID had different plans of its own… They were not able to make the trip out to Tokyo, but they quickly pivoted to something a little bit more accessible, but just as romantic… a Mexican cruise! Danny actually proposed on the first night as he couldn’t handle the idea of not being engaged to Krista for the rest of the trip (<<how sweet!). They spent the rest of the cruise celebrating their engagement and shamelessly posing for silly photos with all of the ship themed backdrops around the ship! They had such a blast together 😍
Danny and Krista will be tying the knot later this fall during a beautiful church ceremony and celebrating that evening at the Warwick-Melrose Hotel! I cannot wait to celebrate the love of these two. Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Blast 🥂
