I am so excited to be sharing James and Blayke’s hill country engagement session today!! These two were a dream to work with and photograph! We had the best time exploring James’ family ranch for their session. I always love when my clients want to incorporate a location for their session that means a lot to them! We started off at a beautiful pond and made our way to an open field where we were able to capture cattle in the background, which was so cool. It definitely added a “country” feel to their photos! The golden-hour lighting was beaming in beautifully creating that gorgeous glow of warmth. I am thrilled with how their sneak peeks turned out!!

How James Proposed

Blayke and James met during their time in college at a concert. They immediately started talking and exchanged phone numbers and, just as the saying goes, the rest is history! In February 2023, they celebrated six wonderful years together.

James proposed in the sweetest way! He took Blayke arrowhead hunting out on James’ family ranch. After they had been hunting for arrowheads for a little while, James was showing Blayke all of the arrowheads he had found and was holding them up from the worst to the best looking. The very last “arrowhead” he held up was actually an engagement ring! He then asked Blayke to be his wife, and of course she said YES! Blayke was SO surprised!! Such a unique proposal 😍

James and Blayke will be tying the knot at a beautiful church in Muenster, TX in October 2023. I cannot wait to celebrate the love of these two this fall!! Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Dangelmayr 🥂
